Sustainability is not something special, it's something necessary. Since its founding, waterdrop® has wanted to eliminate plastic bottles from the world, but we felt that we needed the cooperation of partners who shared the same goal. Plastic Bank is an organization that works to stop marine pollution while also solving poverty issues, and provides incentives for the collection of plastic waste.
Since 2021, waterdrop® has been working with Plastic Bank to help them contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). Plastic Bank closely monitors how its partners support the achievement of each goal. Through Plastic Bank's efforts and activities, waterdrop® has been involved in the achievement of 9 of the 17 goals. Here are some of them!
End poverty :
By funding the collection of plastic from coastlines vulnerable to environmental pollution, waterdrop® indirectly supports the creation of employment opportunities for people living in poor areas, which contributes to reducing poverty and improving the quality of people's lives.
Zero Hunger :
By creating jobs and income for people living in impoverished areas through plastic collection, waterdrop® empowers communities and contributes to eradicating hunger. With more people having a stable source of income, they can afford to buy food and feed their families, which reduces hunger levels.
Health and Well-Being for All :
Reducing plastic waste in the global environment leads to improved health and wellbeing for individuals and communities. By preventing plastic from entering the oceans, waterdrop® indirectly contributes to reducing pollution-related health problems and improving overall environmental hygiene.

The income generated by collecting plastic waste allows families to spend money on their children's education. By donating funds to Plastic Bank, waterdrop® contributes to providing quality education to underprivileged communities.

Every Waterdrop® 12-pack reduces the demand for plastic bottles, and with every pack sold, one plastic bottle is removed from the ocean, making our oceans cleaner and contributing to improving water quality overall.

Economic growth must be a positive one for the planet. It must be one that does not harm the environment and creates decent, stable jobs. In addition, Plastic Bank's waste collection work contributes to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals 2, 3 and 4 by providing financial assistance in exchange for the waste collected to help purchase basic necessities such as food, education and health insurance for their families.
